Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how the Learning Mode extension collects, uses, and protects your information.

The Learning Mode extension collects minimal information necessary to provide its services. Specifically:

User ID: A unique identifier is generated and stored for each user to manage sessions and personalize the Learning Mode experience.
Chat History: We store chat messages and interactions to provide a continuous experience when using Learning Mode but we DO NOT view this information.
Authentication Token: When you sign in using Google OAuth, we store a token to uniquely identify and authenticate you. This token is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to any third parties.
Session Data: Session data is stored to keep users authenticated, so they don’t need to log in repeatedly.

The information collected is used solely to:

Enable Learning Mode features on YouTube.
Authenticate your identity for restrictions and subscription management (in the future).
Data such as chat history and video information helps us tailor responses based on your current and past interactions with the extension. WE DO NOT VIEW THIS INFORMATION.

Your data is stored on an external Redis server. We take reasonable steps to protect the data from unauthorized access or misuse.

You can request data deletion by deactivating Learning Mode or via email request.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer any collected data to third parties. We do however use Open AI’s GPT LLMs.

We aim implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted in the extension or on our website.
